Both belonging as the Archangel of the Third Seed; Aqua and Violet are fraternal twins that reside in the London-esque Oblivion City of Infinite Snow known by the name: Azrael. Because they grew up here, like Dolly from Oblivia II, they have an accent that distinguishes them from other characters in the story. You may know the two as another character I've drawn a few times in the past; The Forbidding Archangel: Layer, that is because Aqua and Violet actually fuse to become Layer but do so on rare occasions because they are not so good at resonating with each other without causing too much havoc. There is a folk legend in Azrael that turns out to be true which states that Layer watches over and controls the city's harsh climate in order to bring about the survival of its citizens and crops to which the city is eternally grateful and praises her idea like a goddess. Aqua and Violet are bound to this fate because of their unique and strong power over ice and wind respectively. Their true role is to actually reteach the special ability; Faithwalker, to both Ame and Hanako when they visit, in which their predecessors knew before them.
Apart, they are much more different from each other than you think. Aqua has a sharp tongue, quite like her rival Archangel: Hikari of the Fifth Seed. She at first does not believe Ame is fit to be the true descendant of her First Seed leader; E.T.A, so it is her idea to face both Ame and Hanako two to two to ensure legitimacy.
Violet, however, is the older, more quiet twin. Significantly more book smart than her younger sister, she enjoys the cool nature of her city and is often distracted by cute things. Her favorite distraction being a snow bunny. She is a great listener but she really only speaks in random, rare singular sentences or words. Ex. When she disagrees with her sister she simply says "Stupid..." and ignores her. Mysteriously, it is a running gag that Violet must ALWAYS have her hands covered as she claims she is "Shy..." about people seeing them, this also carries over to when she becomes Layer and if she is wearing more casual clothes. Violet contains significantly more power than Aqua but holds less magic options.
Aqua and Violet make a very small cameo in Oblivia II in that Ame's new design has a scarf very similar to Aqua's and Hanako's Chesire jacket bears slight resemblance to Violet.
