Chapter III: Blue Roses, Green Diamond…

Bravely, we rushed at these so called S.I.Ns. I swept Ragnarok across the sunlit rooftop, creating slicing marks across the surface. I swayed and weaved, moving the blade with a motion and passion I have never felt before. Holding it blanketed me in a subtle responsibility. It clouded my mind even now. Black ashes and splatter paraded the air. I couldn’t call back to a single moment when I was this focused on staying alive…Not like it would be normal if I could. That girl…who was she? Nightmare Code? What is she talking about? What happened here on this planet? “-but there’s no need to be afraid. I promise that no harm will come of you here.” I remember Hanako saying. I’m not too sure about that now…I’m sure she didn’t expect this either but…what does this mean we do now? I thought. Seems like only yesterday I was smiling at the rain all on my own…

“They won’t stop!” Hanako said stressed as she tore through all the terrible creatures she could. “We’re definitely outnumbered..! Did they all seriously come from the Agito victims?!” Jin exclaimed. Even he was growing tired. “No…She summoned them herself! But how could she-?!Was that the power of an Oblivion?!” I said while standing in place mauling down enemies that jumped at me one by one. “If it was, I’ve never seen it. To be able to summon creatures of the virus? Not even a race as strong as Vampires can do that!” Jin said eagerly. While I wasn’t paying attention, a S.I.N with a sharp beak-like face grazed past my shoulder at high speed and landed on the ground. “Shit!” I grabbed my arm immediately. “Ame!” Hanako was concerned. I raised Ragnarok slightly off the ground and jabbed the monster, squishing it into nothing but a mess. But I saw more in the horizon… Hanako looked afraid and Jin a bit uneasy. “W-We can’t give up! If we die here-!” I grabbed my shoulder and clenched my teeth. One of them came extremely fast and even rushed past me. It was aimed at Hanako’s face. “Agh!!” She, in extreme fear, folded her arms across her face; unready to face death so early in life… “No!” I wanted to move quickly but my body was too heavy…

I heard gunfire…

Standing on the very same pillar Melody had disappeared from was another girl. Her hair daggered and azure blue…Like a phantom she overlooked the scene as a strategic battle ground, a child’s board game played out in her mind. A white medical patch sheltered her right eye; the other emerald and unfazed. The most surprising, unusual, and noticeable feature though were her long black floppy ears and a tail of cotton. A bunny..? I thought. Hand and hand were twin pistols with an appearance of faint customization. She was the one who just fired..? I looked over to Hanako. The S.I.N that tried desperately to kill her was splattered adjacently across the floor.

“Arriving late to the scene I see..?” Jin called out to the girl foreign to me. He gave her a faint smirk that indicated she was a friend. She dropped down in elegance and awaited the darkness’ approach. As they drew close again, with a twirl of her fingers she shot the S.I.Ns down one by one in a dance of bullets. You could tell she was a professional gunslinger regardless of her dainty appearance. Her black laced dress flew in the wind with her movement. An apron fastened exquisitely in place. The monsters made a stride but they were no match for the girl’s extravagant speed. A smoky huff carried in the air, there was no evil left behind. When the storm of bullets subsided you could see the girl a bit more clearly. She immediately raced towards Hanako and caught her breath. “Hana-Senpai..! Please be more careful next time okay..?” She said shyly and concerned. The girl that stood before us now seemed to be a completely different person compared to the bullet dancer we just witnessed. “S-Sorry Aya…” Hanako seemed embarrassed as if she had let the girl down. “I’m glad that you’re here though, are you okay..?” Hanako smiled. “…I should be asking you that…What are you doing here? You could have been hurt or…” The girl held Hanako’s hands in hers and spoke directly to her. “Why do people I don’t know keep showing up..?” I slightly butted in and sighed. “Eep!!” The blue dagger haired girl hid quickly behind Hanako when she heard my voice. Her largely obvious bunny ears poked themselves out from behind Hanako’s head… “I’m sorry…um…did I do something wrong, Miss-..?” I began to apologize. “Lieutenant Aya Misaki of the DADAF Central Enoch Police Department. You can also call it the CEPD I guess…She’s a junior officer working on the X.I.A.L case.” Jin introduced. “We’ve been friends since birth.” Hanako smiled. “Wh-Who’s he..?” Aya looked as if she was nearly shivering behind Hanako, she was growing red quickly. “He’s my Donator.” Hanako told. There she goes again… “O-Oh…really? I-I’m sorry…I get really nervous around…boys…forgive me, sir.” She slowly slipped her pistols into secret holsters located on her legs. She removed herself from Hanako like a lost child; holding out a fair hand to me. “I-I also do some work at Yukari Avenue’s maid café with my mother…” She said appearing only slightly ready for contact with me.

“Ame Kurai. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” I introduced myself and shook her hand steadily yet awkwardly. “Aya Misaki, thank you, Ame.” She said. As soon as the name escaped her mouth a sudden sadness and fear glazed over my soul…Like a gaping hole was just formed inside me so randomly…so tragically… “Have we…met before..?” I almost whispered exclusively to myself. “I’ve done this…” I said even lower. “A-Are you okay? I-I didn’t make you feel uncomfortable with my stupid reaction did I..?! Oh no…” She quickly took her hand away and started contemplating her errors by herself. “No, no, not at all! Don’t worry about it Aya..!” I said immediately. “First name basis already, huh? Man you guys work quick with friends.” Jin said almost surprised. I felt my lip. Wait, did we really just call each other by our first names right on the spot..? That’s strange… “Y-Yeah, I guess so.” I said almost troubled. I suddenly found myself intrigued with that eye patch of hers. I had wondered what had happened to her; it’s more than likely that she received it while working on the force. Suddenly, the heavy metal roof door swung open again. It was Nami, Beru, and Amai huffing tiredly while peering off at us in the distance like wild rats. “Yeah…*huff* we found ‘em alright…” Beru said exhausted. Amai tilted her head more upward. “Wait…who’s that?” She asked, referring to Aya. I could tell that the constant staring made the not-so-edgy gun-slinging officer’s innocence feel threatened…

“You guys…look tired…” Aya said. “We should head back to the Kawaii Café for refreshments. O-Oh..! On the house of course..! Um…but I still need to fill out my investigation report…” Aya began stuttering again and mumbled to herself in confusion. For a fighter of such luster she sure was jumpy…

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------           Regardless of the paperwork she needed to fill out for her investigation, Aya took us back to her café where we were greeted by her mother, Ayaname. “Welcome to the Kawaii Café! Where cuties in cosplay are just the icing on the cake to our wonderful edible delights!~ Welcome, welcome!~” Aya’s mother nearly sang her recited lines as she bowed elegantly. “Mother, they’re not customers, they’re guests…You don’t have to give them the whole get up…” Aya said discomfited as she looked at her own feet. “Even more of a reason to put on a well spirited display for my daughter’s little friends!” Ayaname said. Aya only groaned in embarrassment while looking away. Her mother seemed to be enjoying herself while her words only made Aya redder.

Shortly after, we were presented with decorated plates of cakes, pastries, Dangos, Pocky, cookies, and rice crackers. I bowed my head in amazement while Amai’s eyes glowed with happiness. “Thank you.” We all said, delighted. “It’s no trouble at all! Eat up now, but don’t eat yourself sick.” Aya’s mother smiled and returned to her work. We began eating. Aya shattered the short silence with her words. “Hanako…I’m…glad you and Nami are okay…” She looked down and poked her dessert with her fork. “I heard what had happened to your mother…” Aya began saying. Beru quickly jolted up from her tuna salad and rushed to Aya’s ear. “Ummm…That’s not a very soft topic right now…” she whispered. Beru looked slightly over at Hanako to make sure she hadn’t teared up. “Oh..!...I’m sorry…I did it again…” Aya’s visible eye darkened and dragged at the plate’s direction. “I-It’s okay…” Hanako seemed to have lost her appetite regardless. “We know you didn’t mean to open closed wounds.” Nami finished. Amai cut in curiously. “So Miss, you’re pretty young for an officer.” She let the inquisitive words drive onto an answer. “Oh. That’s a long story…” Aya didn’t seem to enjoy that topic too much…

Left and right we were dodging what seemed all to be sensitive subjects until I heard the soft calling of my name. “A-Ame-Kun…” Aya said suddenly. “Hm..?” my back chilled from that low expression in her voice. Like a muse calling for me to hear a siren’s song. “That sword; that was the Ragnarok right?” Aya seemed to know her stuff as well about the blade. “Y-Yeah.” I said unsteadily because I still couldn’t believe it to be true. “Have you studied Oblivion tomes before?” She asked curiously awaiting an answer. “He couldn’t have exactly…” Hanako was about to explain. “You see this kid and his sister are Earthbounds. Amai is MY Earthbound to be exact. Isn’t that cool?” Beru asked and pointed proudly to herself. “I see…like the ones in the fables. Humanoids of an entirely different reality plane…” Aya mumbled to herself. “Correct.” Jin nodded. Aya had risen from her seat and came toward me. She began poking at my cheek multiple times. “But he feels just like any other Oblivion.” I began blushing oddly. “Ahh…” I couldn’t find a way to respond. “But I wasn’t completely unaware of the theory. I had noticed when we met back on the roof…that you couldn’t possibly be a Vampire at such an age without crimson colored eyes. I began to think that you were an amputee of some sort…Forgive me for my pre judgment…” Aya apologized and stopped poking me. Nami sighed. “Yeah that’s one weird thing we’ve already covered but what about that other stuff you guys were talking about?” She asked. “Those monsters…you said they were called S.I.Ns, right?” Aya looked in me, Hanako, and Jin’s direction. “Yeah, at least that’s what that O-Two girl said…” Hanako mentioned the other girl that mysteriously appeared on the Agito Complex’s roof. “O-Two..?” Aya asked. “A pink haired girl with purple tints; she had these huge headphones on. I’m not even sure if she could hear us well. She also said she was bi-polar and had the numbers 02 on her clothing. That’s the girl that sent those creatures on us…” Hanako remembered distinctively. “Nightmares…” I mumbled under my breath. “What was that..?” Aya leaned her glance past Hanako and toward me. “Nightmares.” I repeated louder. “Those creatures; S.I.Ns…and this virus…I think that they’re linked to nightmares. It seems kind of silly I know-…” I began doubting myself. “Yeah, yeah, we’ve made it past all that ‘But we’re on a different planet’ stuff already.” Amai waved her hand vertically. “How can you tell?” Jin asked, confused himself. “Remember what the T.V said? Those S.I.Ns only appear when the victim suddenly drops to sleep; back on Earth that’s the same exact thing that happened to those students.” I spoke the words that flowed through my mind, regardless of how skeptical I felt. “On top of that, that girl; Melody, said something about a Nightmare Code.” Hanako mentioned in support. “Exactly.” I responded. “What do you think it means..?” Hanako asked with uncertainty. “I don’t know.” I said. “But whatever it is it also has to do with the Ragnarok. You spilled some words yourself about a Virtue Code right before the blade came out of your choker too.” I told. Hanako seemed surprised. “I-I did..?” She felt as if cornered suddenly. “No need to be alarmed. I know any of what happened at school had nothing to do with you. I myself felt like for a second there you became a whole different person when the cross started reacting. Whatever the issue may be, I believe that the girl we saw today had something to do with all of this and that she may have the answers to all of our questions…whether we want them or not…” I laid a curled finger across my lips in thought, awaiting a response from the others.

“A mysterious girl that can call the creatures of the virus at will…A distinct number on odd clothing…Perhaps a terrorist group with a motive for genocide..?” Aya hypothesized. “Using a unique virus outbreak as a weapon…One that lulls the victim to sleep to form a sort of being? Perhaps the act of sleep is what gives these threats the label; Nightmare Code? But why a genocide on all of Oblivia? Clearly the outbreak is spreading further into cities every day.” Nami also joined. “But as you know, it’s more than just Oblivia. These creatures appeared on Earth too, at our school. Could it be possible that you guys contracted the virus and brought it to us..?” I asked hopefully without harming their trust. “Impossible. If the virus was in us we would have been knocked out cold by now. There’s no way one of those…THINGS came out of me without me knowing.” Nami crossed her arms. “Well back on the subject of the group itself. I think Aya is close to the point.” I recovered the conversation. “H-Huh..? I am..?” Aya looked at me with wide eye again. “Melody said something about Mother but she didn’t refer to her as HER mother. I think she was describing her leader…” I continued. “Meaning they are an organization…” Hanako said. “Or terrorist group.” Jin added. “Well whatever they are, I wanna pound ‘em! Those bastards burned Hanako and Nami’s house down and they’re gonna pay! If they like going around killing moms then we gotta return the favor, right?!” Beru smacked her fist in hand and spoke a bit too louder than she should have… “First things first; calm down…Secondly; you shouldn’t get so carried away just yet…” Jin cut her words. “Huh?” Beru seemed irritated with slowing her words. “We don’t know who these people are, what these THINGS are and what they’re truly capable of yet…Not to mention how MANY there are either…As a matter of fact, we don’t even know if these are the best of the best. There could be worse cases of the virus, mutated, that we don’t know of yet. Do you really want to take that risk?” Jin said cleverly. “He’s right. We can’t just rush into this blindly. We have to know what makes them tick…Connect the dots we’ve set already to make sense of it all. Then we can think about how we can fix it.” I finished.

“You all really shouldn’t be getting yourselves involved…You make really great points and I’ve learned a lot thanks to your information…B-But…as a first lieutenant I can’t just let average teenagers get involved in such a dangerous affair…” Aya seemed concerned. “Then don’t join us in resolving this as a first lieutenant. Help us because you know somehow together we can crack SOME kind of milestone. If the Ragnarok truly means this much to your people as you say then you’ll be seeing a lot of me regardless. Better to work as a team than as an obstacle.” I told Aya sincerely. Aya pressed her lips together in thought. I still saw nervousness in her single eye. She was still hesitant about trusting some arbitrary boy she had just met speaking things that were foreign even to her; an official officer. “…Y-You like taking the initiative don’t you..?” She peered away. I perished the thought. “Actually I don’t. All I really want to do is help in the best way that I can…” I gave a slightly wry smirk at the side of her turned cheek. She thought to herself momentarily again, taking in words she would never accept as truth from any other man. She responded… “We’ll investigate again tomorrow…” Aya agreed. Hanako tilted her head back up at Aya with an almost surprised look. “So you’ll really let us help on the case, Moe-Chan #2?!” Beru seemed excited. “D-Don’t call me that!! Not around guests..!!” Aya was frantic. “I-I mean, we’re working as a team, not an obstacle…right..?” She looked back at me for the answer she desired to hear. “Yeah, thank you, Aya.” I nodded with an almost but not entire smile on my face. Nami exhaled and pushed her plate along the counter. “Well then, if we’re going to be investigating as a team we’d better get some rest. Time to return to your home; Ame, Amai?” Nami got up, ready to leave herself. “But how? Can Hanako control when that trinket of hers teleports us, or even where?” Amai asked with concern. “I-I don’t think so…” Hanako said lowly as she folded hands in her lap.

“Oblivia Amends the Earth.” Aya said.

“What?” I replied.

“Just as Earth Amends Oblivion…” She continued.

“Something that corrects nothing is foolishness, while nothing that corrects something is a miracle; Messiah-like in humanoid nature…They are quotes from the Oblivion Tomes I’ve read.” Aya told. “The hero E.T.A warned the other angels to stay away from Oblivia’s Heaven Hell War by passing through their world by mirror, simply writing those words on its surface.” She said, expressing her knowledge of literature once again. “N-Naturally of course…Oblivions have tried the words before but there is no proof of an Oblivion that has actually made it over. There are rumors, however. Our technology may be able to allow us to see your world but never have we accessed it before.” Aya explained the improbable situation. “Well we can’t just sit here and twiddle our thumbs, do you know how worried my mom’s gonna get?!” Amai complained. “Aren’t you a bit old for-…” Jin was about to say. “Regardless; we have to try and see. Have a mirror big enough for us to fit through?” I asked Aya. “Yeah, the restroom mirrors should be good enough. Don’t worry; no one should be in there. Th-This way then…”  Aya lead the way.

We reached the café restroom mirror. The vicinity was actually very cleanly, impressing enough. “Beru, if you so may.” Aya held her hand out toward the mirrors. “Got’cha Captain Eyepatch!” Beru saluted. She then began breathing on the glass to create a small fog. “That should do it!” she held hands on her waist proudly. “Ready..?” Amai asked me. “Yup. Cross your fingers.” I said as I placed a finger onto the foggy glass and began writing the quote Aya had stated before. When I was done I took a few steps backward in slight fear of what might happen. We waited a few moments…nothing. “Poo…” Beru crossed her arms and blew a bubble into her right cheek. “Oh great! It didn’t work! Now what are supposed to do..?!” Amai said in an upset and fearful tone. “Damn…” I said under my breath. I peered back at the glass and saw Hanako’s reflection. There was a bit of a sad demeanor on her face, but just then in that image, her cross began to glow red again. “Ah-!” She said surprised. “Again?!” I turned back at her. “Oh no! Get down!!” Aya tucked and hid afraid. The cross tangled and twitched but eventually light flowed through the frame of the mirror in front of us. Through the shine was the alleyway we found Hanako and Nami in. The choker around Hanako’s neck stabilized and ceased its radiant glow. We looked back up in awe. I turned back at Hanako. “Y-You were right! It is a crossroad between our worlds..!” I exclaimed. “The key to the other side was around your mother’s neck the whole time..?!” Aya gazed into the other world blindly. “Th-This is impossible, why would she keep something like this from us..?” Nami wondered aloud. “…Why would she leave it in my hands..?” Hanako seemed washed with guilt. Tears were about to form that I hadn’t noticed. “Hanako?” Nami seemed to have noticed. Aya courageously came up to me and said; “Come back tomorrow too…Okay..?” Aya blushed. “I-I mean for the case. We’re gonna figure it out together…” She said. “Yeah…” Amai said for me almost indecisively. “This’ll be goodbye for now then, alright? We’ll see you tomorro-…” I said while about to enter the mirror with my sister. Hanako tightly gripped my arm. “?!” I turned around quickly in surprise. Tears strolled down her face; she looked awfully pale…She shoved her rosy red face into my sleeve. “Don’t leave too!” She cried. “Uh-!” I was confused. “My father…my mother…my baby sister..! If I lost you for even a day I-…!” She mumbled into my arm with a fear that I could almost feel through her. Nami looked at her younger sister with sincerity and then back at me. “Can we…go with you…?” she asked with the dearest face I’ve seen on her yet. I can’t believe it…That girl…that white haired girl that wandered my dreams like a nymph lost in her own forest preferred to stay with me than in her home; her own world… “Yeah, of course.” I nodded. “You’re free to stay whenever you want Hana-Chan!” Amai bent over and tried to make Hanako feel better with a smile. Hanako lifted her head to me and sniffed. “J-Just remember…It’s my bed now!” She tried to laugh and smile through the tears. I smiled slightly. “You’re right.” I said.

It was the first time in a long time that I had smiled without the rain, but perhaps the tears of a beautiful girl was what swindled my mind into thinking it was raining across her face…

Melody’s Point of View:

Casually, I made my way through the castle floor hallways. I could barely hear the surroundings around me as my headphones were on full blast drowning out inner thoughts with songs that took me far away from here. I closed my eyes to listen in peace but I was soon interrupted by a harsh bump. “Ah-ow!” I jumped in sudden fright. It was him, Nightmare 01-Shitemashi Chinmoku; the first assigned Nightmare to whom I share my blood…You could say he’s our division’s team leader, guess that makes him pretty big, huh? “…” He remained quiet as I stared at his gauzed face. “Oh, it’s you. You know, you don’t have to keep up with the silent treatment. I already know all I need to about you from the time we met here. You may be brooding to the others but you can’t fool me…Besides, I can be just as broo-…” I began but he eventually cut me off. “Enough, Melody, did the orders you were given go according to plan?” He asked in a rude manner. I probably care about the guy a bit more than the others but his little superiority act does get a bit much at times… “Yeah, yeah, I followed Mother’s orders accordingly. Warned them to stay away from our business, blah, blah…” I waved my hand nonchalantly again. “You shouldn’t be so reckless. Mother will execute you right where you stand…” He warned. “Right where I stand, huh? I haven’t gotten to see the woman’s face since after I signed up for this gig. Why should I believe she’s that strong if I’ve never really seen her in action?” I put my hands on my hips and spoke up to him. “Because I have…Don’t be foolish.” He said. “Pff, yeah fiiine…” I closed my eyes and groaned. He brushed past me abruptly and spoke without looking back. “Go get rest…the enemy will be doing so as well. And I don’t enjoy stressed blood.” He said. “Ha, those assholes won’t last long anyway! Trust me; I had them on the ground with one batch of S.I.Ns. It’s not like they could take any of us down.” I laughed. “Keep throwing swarms at them like that and they’ll adapt and be back sooner than you think…Just wait, your confidence will become your obstacle…” Shitemashi continued down the hall until I couldn’t see him anymore. “…Oh yeah? Well that’s really funny coming from you!” I said into nothingness as nothing was there. I sighed and looked the other way.

He’s right though, I’m only training them to get better…I guess it’s just that…I’m afraid to fight. I don’t know what it’s like to fight someone on the outside. It was hard enough training with these guys and even then, I’m not the best at what I do here. A part of me…really just wants to go home…But going back means turning away from everything I love; turning on a dream just in my reach now. “No other choices then…” I put my headphones back on and continued down the hallway…

Ame’s Point of View:

Light shone brightly as we crossed through the mirror’s glass. When we ended up on the other side, we were directly in the spot that we found Hanako and Nami in; that alleyway. Behind us was a tall cracked mirror. A fluttering blue butterfly drifted away the moment we frightened it.

“A mirror…” I said. “Was this always here?” I asked. “Someone must be throwing it away. It’s cracked.” Amai observed. “Yeah.” I stared at it for another moment. “Hey…come on, let’s go home.” Amai shivered and rushed. “Yeah, let’s go.” I agreed as we all continued to leave the alleyway and toward a home of comfort.

“Alright, Ame; Nami and I are hitting the hay…G’night.” Amai rubbed her eyes and began up the stairs. “G’night.” I answered back to her. I decided that it’d be best if I went upstairs to sleep too. When I opened my bedroom door I saw Hanako sitting by herself. I didn’t think much of it because I was really tired and wanted to crash on my own bed for once. Comfortably I lay down on my sheets looking at the ceiling as if a starry sky. I suddenly heard her speak. “…Hey.” She said from across the room, sitting down with arms on her knees. “Hm..?” I turned slightly to her, noticing she had a bit of a troubled look on her face. “I’m sorry…that I cried…It’s just…everything fell apart…” Hanako said tiredly. “Fell apart?” I asked concerned. “All that stuff I blurted back there. I didn’t tell you…Before my mother died my little sister, Orchid, went missing too. And my father as well, in search of her…Ame…why would they all leave me like that..?” Hanako began tearing again. “Hanako…” I said softly. “I-I’m sorry, I didn’t know that you’d lost so much…I know what it’s like to lose a father, but my sister, and mother too..? I couldn’t live…” I said sadly. The words only seemed to make her more worried. “But Nami is still there. Nami will always be here to protect you. I see that a lot in her…” I said. So that’s why she’s so protective of her…I thought.

She looked back at me. “Ame, I don’t want to lose a person like you either..!” She said quickly. I looked surprised with a blush. “I-If I let you go for even a day…I have a feeling you’d slip away from me too…” She hugged her knees. “That’s not true.” I said. Her eyes gazed upward again. “I’ll stay with you for as long as you want me to. We are friends, right?” I asked with the skip of a heartbeat. She got up slowly and came over my way. Sitting gently beside me on the bed she tightly hugged me. “I won’t let you be stolen from me either…” She seemed to trust me very much even though we have only known each other for several days. It seemed like an eternity though, feelings that spanned lifetimes… “Thank you.” I placed a hand on her back and hugged her too. I didn’t know what else I could possibly say…Anything else that could have come out of my mouth would be a corny train wreck…

“Can I…bite you, again..?” she asked nervously. Her complexion did seem paler like before, likely from crying. She could definitely use the blood. I lowered my collar and nodded. Pressing her lips and nodding back she began at the side of my neck again. It always sent a chill down my spine and a hint of awkwardness was in the air. She stopped.

“I hope that I’m not making you light headed by doing this…so frequently…” She said. “No, I’m fine. No need to worry.” I tried to give her a brief smile again but it was always difficult for me. I fixed my neck collar. “Okay!” She smiled too and nodded. “Now, remember the routine!” She handed me the blindfolds again. “Y-Yeah!” I awkwardly laughed, snatched them from her hand, and began to put them on quickly as she had already started slipping off her clothes.

“And no peeking, Donater-Kun.” She said almost too calmly.

“It’s Ame!” I said muffled as my head hit the pillow of my futon.

She giggled. “I’ve always known; I just like messing with you…It’s really easy to do you know,”

“Ame-Kun.” She finally said before I drifted ever so quietly to sleep…
